The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), of which the United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) is a member, and USFIA, of which BCI is an associate member, have collaborated to promote responsible cotton sourcing. USFIA, which represents the fashion industry, including textile and apparel brands, retailers, importers and wholesalers, based in the US and doing business globally, can support BCI members in navigating the complex sourcing issues in the US and around the globe. It will also enable BCI to connect with key stakeholders across the value chain, including US and international service providers, suppliers and industry groups, through publications, educational events and networking opportunities. BCI is an NGO working with a multi-stakeholder group of organizations to support responsible cotton production worldwide, and hence will provide information about supporting responsibly grown cotton to USFIA members.
