JF&I Packaging (BD) Ltd., a Bangladesh-Sri Lanka joint venture entity, is all set to invest US $ 11.32 million to set up a manufacturing unit to produce different types of paper and packaging items for the apparel sector.
As per reports, the joint venture entity signed an agreement to this effect with Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) recently.
Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, Ali Reza Mazid and Md. Shamsul Alam, Director of JF&I Packaging (BD), signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The JF&I Packaging (BD) Ltd., will reportedly produce different types of paper and packaging items besides providing employment opportunities for around 500 Bangladeshi nationals.
