Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her recent meeting with President of Malta George Vella has requested him to open a mission in Dhaka while also calling upon Malta to import RMG products along with pharmaceuticals items from Bangladesh.
This is as per media reports, which added she later met South African President Cyril Ramaphosa even as after this meeting, while addressing the media, Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has expressed hopes the country might become a member of the BRICS — BRICS is an acronym for five regional economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa — while adding the BRICS Bank had invited Bangladesh as a guest and that in the future it would invite Bangladesh to join in.
He reportedly maintained this while addressing the press after meeting.
The BRICS, which now has five members (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), will reportedly add eight more countries as members even as it has reportedly invited the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia to join it reportedly.
