
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has recently acknowledged and honoured 141 individuals and businesses for their exceptional contributions to the public exchequer during the 2022-23 tax year.
The Finance Ministry, through a recently issued gazette, unveiled the recipients of tax cards and recognition plaques, following the guidelines of the National Tax Card Policy 2010 (amended).
The prestigious accolades, distributed across three distinct categories, encompassed 75 individuals, 54 companies, and 12 entities falling under various other classifications.
Notably, the readymade garment category celebrated the achievements of Square Fashion Ltd., Universal Jeans Limited, Titas Sportswear Industries Ltd., Rifat Garments Ltd., Youngone Hi-Tech Sportswear Industries Ltd., Nice Denim Mills Ltd., and Fakir Knitwears Ltd.
In the leather industry category, the tax card was conferred upon Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Ltd., Alliance Leather Goods and Footwear Ltd., and Apex Footwear Ltd.
This recognition underscores the significant role these entities play in contributing to the nation’s fiscal well-being.
