Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has underlined that the gas crisis facing Bangladesh’s industrial sector will improve in January.
As per reports, the Commerce Minister claimed this while addressing a recent event at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital city Dhaka.
It may be mentioned here factories in Bangladesh including the textile units suffered production loss on account of gas scarcity and low pressure.
To deal with the growing gas crisis at home while also effectively deal with the spot market LNG price volatility, Bangladesh has proposed to import up to 1.5 million tonnes of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Brunei Darussalam next year.
