US-based Elevate Textiles, Inc. has announced that one of its renowned textile brands American & Efird (A&E) is all set to buy high-performance yarns of Charles Craft, Inc.
The purchase is expected to close in early October.
Charles Craft, Inc., founded in 1967, is known across the globe as a leading producer and distributor of high-performance flame resistant/cut resistant industrial yarns and other specialty products.
The prefect blend of both A&E and Charles Craft not only brings together technical yarn expertise but also expands A&E’s product offering related to thermal protection, cut resistant and flame retardant yarns.
The purchase will include assets of the Charles Craft manufacturing operation in Hamer, SC, which will operate as a part of A&E US manufacturing platform.
Elated over buying the high-performance yarns of Charles Craft, Inc., Mark Hatton, MD, American & Efird Americas, said “Bringing together these two longstanding brands benefits both and allows us to support our combined customer base with an expanded product offering and enhanced technical expertise, all with the same reliable service they expect.”
It is worth noting here that Frank Buie, VP, Sales for Charles Craft will soon join A&E’s sales management team.
Expressing delight over Charles Craft’s yarn business becoming a part of Elevate Textiles, Frank averred “Becoming part of the larger A&E brand provides new life and longevity to our well-known technical yarns, while offering new opportunities for our employees and customers.”
He added “We are committed to a very smooth transition for our customers and look forward to greater collaboration and synergies ahead.”
