Celebrating World Cotton Day, India’s leading apparel manufacturing company which is also known for its sustainable initiatives, Pratibha Syntex, organised farmers’ convention at Petlawad (Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh).
Around 250 farmers including many women actively participated in the event. Dr. RS Tripathi, Agriculturist (CITI CDRA) was the Chief Guest of the event.
Addressing the event, he said that farmers should have curiosity to improve their production. This curiosity will lead to increase in their income. He also shared interesting tips with the farmers on how they can increase cotton production by saving various resources.
Notably, the farmers appreciated the tips shared by Dr. Tripathi.
Shreyaskar Chaudhary, MD, Pratibha Syntex expressed gratitude towards the farmers for associating with the company. He appreciated the farmers’ efforts as the cotton grown by them is reaching 40 countries.
Tarashila, Director, FPO spoke about her growth story, and also on how she developed bio-input production in Mohankheda.
