Vandeep Singh, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head of Strategy & Business Excellence, GBKC Fashions, Dehradun has been recognised by CFO India as one of India’s Top 100 CFOs at the 11th Annual CFO 100 awards and Conference.
Launched in 2009, with the intent of filling a void in the CFO space, CFO India today has a loyal base of over 8,000 CFOs across various industries.
Vandeep is the only CFO across the garment manufacturing industry to have got this recognition during the 11th edition of CFO 100.
He got recognised in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) for demonstrating outstanding financial management and contribution to the growth of the enterprise.
“I am truly humbled and deeply honoured by the recognition. It is all because of our persistence and optimistic approach towards the challenges that we had faced during the pandemic and the support received from the company management. I will keep contributing to the growth of industry and whatever I can do for our organisation and society at large,” Vandeep said on this achievement.
It is pertinent to mention here that despite the pandemic, GBKC Fashions has done well as it also produced PPEs including other healthcare apparel for export market and now focusing on medical textiles as well,though the core business of the company is garment manufacturing for top Indian and global brands.
Vandeep, a CA and a six-sigma certified professional with 10 years of corporate experience in varied industry sectors including textiles, automobiles, IT, healthcare, oil & gas, and aluminium & power, has also been the guest speaker at various prestigious institutes including IIM Kashipur, IIM Shillong & IIM Visakhapatnam.
