Taiwan-based textile producer Pepwing has developed new plasma technology for fabrics. This technology can refurbish the finished fabrics back to their original clean state and make them ready to be used again for different end-uses, which offers both cost and ecological benefits to the manufacturers. It will further improve fabric wettability, decrease dyeing temperatures and lower the amount of chemicals required for fabrics’ finishing. The technology will prove to be significant for the textile producers worldwide and will further reduce the carbon footprints of the manufacturers by reducing emission of harmful chemicals.
