M&S has launched its versatile and best value collection to date on Hirestreet – UK’s leading accessible fashion rental platform – featuring some of its favourite A/W ’22 pieces.
“We’re continuing to shift attitudes to clothing rental, from occasion to everyday with the launch of brand-new M&S Capsules – five-, six- or seven-piece collections for £ 39 which can be styled into ten different outfits. Plus, in a first for the rental platform, we’ve introduced everyday essentials including jeans, footwear and accessories,” announced M&S.
The 78-piece A/W ’22 collection is the largest and most versatile offer to date, as shared by M&S; in a first for Hirestreet, it will include jeans, footwear and accessories. This follows insight from the latest M&S Family Matters Index which found that 1 in 6 consumers are keen to try rental for everyday outfits.
The partnership with Hirestreet supports the brand’s commitment to drive the circular economy, as part of its Plan A sustainability programme.
Richard Price, Managing Director of Clothing & Home at Marks & Spencer commented, “As Hirestreet’s largest retail partner, we’re delighted to extend our rental offering for A/W ’22. This season, we have introduced new everyday product categories whilst continuing to offer a selection of seasonal staples from partywear to knitwear. With value front of mind, we’ve worked closely with the team at Hirestreet to create the M&S Capsules – offering versatility, style and the trusted value customers expect from M&S. This season, it’s not just about what we offer, but how – this is just one of the ways we’re working to support customers as they look to lower their carbon footprint.”
Isabella West, Founder and CEO, Hirestreet mentioned, “M&S x Hirestreet Capsules are a global first for the rental market – they offer customers the ability to access multiple stylist-curated looks in a sustainable and incredibly affordable way. We are so excited to be working with M&S on this industry-shaping project, we believe it is exactly what is needed to move the UK rental market forward.”
