Kylie Jenner, the 22-year-old reality TV star from USA, came in for sharp criticism on social media after her Kendall + Kylie line of apparels allegedly refused to pay garment workers in Bangladesh.
As per media reports, fans of Kylie – who has massive following of 182.3 million on the social media app Instagram – demanded that she pays the workers in Bangladesh who makes apparels for the Kendall + Kylie clothing line, owned by Global Brands Group.
The fans reportedly demanded that she should pay the workers even if it meant taking out money from her personal fund.
Global Brands Group has reportedly decided to not pay the garment workers in Bangladesh after a drop in sales consequent to the COVID-19 break out.
Apart from Kylie, American rapper Cardi B also reportedly had to face criticisms after her recently-launched collection, in association with FashionNova, has not only cancelled orders but also cut workers in Los Angeles and Bangladesh ‘without pay’, claimed PopBuzz, a website and mobile app for the next digital generation.
