Continuously inspiring its staff and society to adopt a sustainable lifestyle and protect the environment, one of the leading apparel exporters in India, Eastman Exports Global Clothing celebrated Environment day massively as it organised various events in all its factories.
At the corporate office along with a senior team from Decathlon and dignitaries was present N. Chandhran, Chairman of the company who highlighted the lifestyle changes that need to be adopted to protect the environment and insisted everyone to adopt ancient, natural and ayurvedic practices and products instead of using chemical products in our day to day life.
Suresh and John from Decathlon also shared about the environmental activities carried out in all factories of Eastman Exports and highlighted their benefits. Kumar from Vanathukkul Tirupur expressed his appreciation for the company’s contribution towards social activities through Vanathukul Tirupur, and also encouraged and motivated employees to protect the environment.
In other activities, the company officials conducted awareness about sustainability, conducted quiz and pledge competition on environment protection. Plant saplings in and around factories of the group also took place.
The staff of the company also removed 140 Kg of plastic waste along Kalingarayan canal in Erode.
It was interesting to see that right from helpers and operators to top level staff of the company actively participated in all the various activities and felt proud to have their contribution towards a sustainable environment.
