Century Rayon bags India’s first OEKO-TEX® STeP Certification

The Mumbai based viscose filament yarns manufacturer, Century Rayon (Century Textiles & Industries Limited division of B. K. Birla Group of companies) has become first Indian textile company to be awarded with the STeP Certificate by OEKO-TEX®. O R Chitlange, CEO of Century Rayon shared that Century Rayon is already certified with Quality Management System ISO 9001-9008 since 1995, and the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Environmental Management System have been implemented in its operations since 2007. He further added, “These existing company certificates were recognised in the process of the company’s STeP certification and were incorporated into the assessment of the individual modules.”
