Faruque Hassan, the President of BGMEA, has underscored the importance of empowering the youth by equipping them with knowledge and essential skills. This empowerment will enable them to unlock their potential and make valuable contributions to the development of Bangladesh.
According to a press release issued on 17th May, Faruque Hassan made these comments during his speech at the grand finale and prise distribution ceremony of the BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) Inter College National Debate (BIND) in Dhaka.
Faruque maintained Bangladesh possesses a young and dynamic population, and the key lies in transforming them into valuable human resources and by doing so, they will be able to drive the growth and progress of Bangladesh in the years to come.
“Given the remarkable advancements in technology, our way of life and work is undergoing a transformative shift. Consequently, possessing technological and digital skills is no longer a choice, but a necessity,” claimed Faruque.
The programme was graced by the presence of Deputy Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury as the chief guest. Additionally, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, Vice-Chancellor of BUFT Professor Dr S M Mahfuzur Rahman, and Pro Vice-Chancellor of BFT Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan also delivered speeches during the event.
Notable attendees included former BGMEA vice presidents and BUFT Trustee Board members Md Moshiul Azam (Shajal) and Mohammed Nasir.
