Bangladesh’s Unifill Group — a 100 per cent export-oriented apparel manufacturer — with its four sister concerns, namely Aman Fashion and Designs Ltd., Aman Sweaters Ltd., Aman Winter Wears Ltd. and Aman Knittings Ltd., has decided to go green with USGBC (LEED) Certifications.
According to a press communiqué issued in this direction, a signing ceremony was recently held in this direction, between the Unifill Group’s four factories and 360 TSL Green Building Consultancy Services.
Meanwhile speaking to the media, Director of Unifill Group Saiful Hoque Bhuiyan, reportedly, stated they were ‘extremely thankful to experience face-to-face consultancy and regular guidance from Team 360 TSL and Ananta Ahmed as Bangladeshi consulting company’.
“…we are not focused on certification only; we are committed to environmental sustainability for our 8,000 employees,” reportedly, further underlined Saiful Hoque Bhuiyan even as reports suggest previously Aman Graphics and Designs Ltd., which is sister concern of Unifill Group, has been recognised as a ‘LEED Platinum’ rated factory.
The said factory has, reportedly, been retrofitted with 90 LEED points, which is the fourth-best in the country (Bangladesh), reports claim.
