A female worker died and around 100 other workers have allegedly fell sick after drinking water at the garment factory in Gazipur on the outskirts of Dhaka Saturday morning. A source informed, “We’ve come to know that a female worker died and some 100 workers were treated at various hospitals after the incident.” “The workers of Masstrade International Garments were sickened at their factory after drinking water,” he added. It has also been reported that almost all the sickened workers are out of danger now and many have left hospitals as well. The water samples have also been collected and sent for laboratory test to find out the cause of the contamination.
