After successfully sourcing from China and Vietnam, Krazy Kat Sportswear, LLC, a buying house in Vietnam, has now ventured into Egypt as well.
In an exclusive interaction with Team Apparel Resources, Ravikumar, Manager, Krazy Kat Sportswear, LLC, averred that duty free benefits offered by Egypt was one of the main attractions for the company to enter into Egypt market.
He further added that Krazy Kat still does over 90 per cent of its uniform business from Vietnam and only 10 per cent business is done from Egypt.
Unlike Vietnam, Egypt is currently good at doing only basic low price garments and the selling cost is less than US $ 10 or 15. That’s the reason the company does not more than 10 per cent business from there.
“Besides the duty benefits, the lead time from Egypt to US is much less than the lead time from Vietnam to US. I am sure things will only get better in the years to come,” underlined Ravi.
