Vibemac, a well known name in offering specialized machines for the jeans industry, has a very strong foothold in the Asian market with its range of machines, which though sturdy offer flexibility of operations. Among the core team responsible for the deep penetration of the Asian market, Simone Bianchi, Sales & Marketing Manager has now taken the challenge to develop the US market for Vibemac.
The company has a strong R&D to regularly innovate its technologies and solutions. It also has a young marketing team, expert technicians and consolidated partnership with its distributors around the world to support for a better customer support. Simone is one such young dedicated member who is looking to develop the market in Mexico, Columbia, Peru, Ecuador and some countries in Central America where few of the big factories are based, with an office in Central America very soon.
Vibemac developed machines for Levis since the last two years based on their specific and unique requirements. The company made a back pocket hemmer lockstitch and modified loop setter for the 3D loop for Levis and which has given them great recognition in the market.
Making a mark in a fairly new market is tough, but the first thing that Simone did was to visit the existing customers to understand the market. “From our interactions we realized that many customers felt abandoned by the local dealers. So we started to visit them regularly, taking along a technician to check and fix their machines, this effort paid off and we got a firm footing in the area,” informs Simone.
Simone admits that the market is still small for them and though Vibemac has 10 customers in Los Angeles alone, the companies in the region still don’t buy machines like in Asia or the Middle East. Whereas in Bangladesh, the way the demand is increasing, Vibemac’s customer base is expected to exceed 100 companies by 2015. With the three big Asian apparel manufacturing giants – China, India and Bangladesh – facing major labour crisis, the Vibemac management believes that there is an opportunity lurking in the crisis because of its economical automated machines.
Simone is positive that this year will be very important for them globally. As they now have an advantage of a local company in the US. Vibemac has been developing machines for Levis since the last two years based on their specific and unique requirements. “We made a back pocket hemmer lockstitch and modified loop setter for the 3D loop for Levis and which has given us great recognition in the market. Our machines are in use at True Religion, some huge factories in Central America and different local customers as well. In Columbia we have PERMODA, which has more than 300 stores, and produces about 7,000 jeans a day,” informs Simone.
The 4650 EV7 RR – Automatic belt loop setter unit, V701 – Automatic pocket hemming unit, 2516 V4 DCT – Automatic back pocket setter (Double colour technology), V100 HA – Double head pocket creasing unit, 2262 HP – 3 Needle reverse feed of the arm unit and the 3022 WB 201 – Automatic waistband unit piece by piece, were some of the machines on display at Texprocess. With minimum time required to change the setting of a machine and that too without any technical help because the common settings are already programmed and stored for easy and quick recall by the operator.
