Heavy machinery for textiles is amongst the areas of cooperation highlighted by Benedetto Della Vedova, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy during his ongoing visit to Bangladesh. Vedova appreciated Bangladesh’s consistent growth rate at over 6 per cent in the last six years. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said the two countries have enjoyed excellent relations since Bangladesh’s independence and newer avenues for trade and investment will emerge in the coming days.
