Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) will a holding a meeting of its member mills on August 8, to discuss problems being faced by the spinning mill owners in doing business, and take best suited actions to mitigate issues.
T Rajkumar, Chairman of the association has said that the sector is facing issues like higher tariff rates, delay in disbursing subsidies under Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme, uncertainty in cotton prices, and shutting of dyeing units in Northern States has led to accumulation of fabric stock in different power loom clusters. All these issues will be put forward in the meeting.
