To help the country get rid of loans from the international donors at 8 per cent mark-up, the chairman of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) SM Tanveer has put up an appeal to the Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to announce a package for the textile industry of US $ 13 billion which would help increase exports and would create 13 million jobs in the country. He has also asked the government to reduce power tariff, gas rate, and impose a 20 per cent regulatory duty on import of textile raw material, for the revival of the industry.
