Wensli Group, a silk manufacturing company as part of its expansion acquired Marc Rozier, a 120-year-old silk scarf factory in France, last year. The company marked a milestone of its globalization in Hangzhou when it introduced its Marc Rozier brand. Tu Hongyan, Chairman of the group, asserted that the debut of Marc Rozier in China is a turning point for the Chinese silk industry. The brand has been manufacturing for top brands like Hermes for decades, and now it is manufacturing for Wensli Group and Chinese customers. Since the purchase of the French brand, the company has been trying to draw level with top foreign brands in terms of raw materials, design, equipment and manufacturing techniques used in the silk sector.
