Vertical integration, continuous product development and changing the way of working according to the times, are some of the winning formulas that have kept many companies afloat in the garment export industry. With an investment of Rs. 4 crore, having in-house knitting and garmenting facilities and very good in polyester as well as fleece fabric, Knit Craft, Gurgaon has done the same by starting its own garment dyeing plant with a capacity of 50,000 pieces per month. On a growth path, the company which achieved a turnover of almost Rs. 100 crore is sure of 25 per cent growth this year while targeting a turnover of Rs. 200 crore for the next year.
“Our important buyers like DKNY, Ralph Lauren are asking for products, which require garment dyeing, so we are focusing on creating capabilities in this area. These buyers are mainly sourcing tees for men as well as women. We have taken a working plant from Turkey and also a few machines from Ramsons. Earlier we were outsourcing our garment dyeing, but now the in-house facility makes us faster, gives better control on quality and we are able to reduce the cost by almost 10 per cent,” said Sanjay Khurana, Director.
