In Erode, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) has demolished two textile dyeing factories. Cases were also registered against the factory owners. These were running without license and for discharging untreated effluent into the drains. Both of the units were in the suburban Poosari Thottam. TNPCB is also trying to find out if there are such more units. Erode is a famous hub of Tamil Nadu having plenty of units for fabric, made-ups and garment manufacturing.
