As expected, the maiden Vendor Session under the unique initiative of B2B Matchmaking at ASW Marketplace has turned out to be a major success.
The session, which concluded on 2 February, was held by Ramesh Gunasekaran, Head Sourcing, Easybuy – Max Retail Division, Landmark Group, and saw good participation from exhibitors at ASW Marketplace.
Industry couldn’t have asked for more – at least the positive response from exhibitors distinctly states the success of the show.
Ramesh, a seasoned apparel professional, shared his views about the growing value retail segment and also all factors that constitute a preferred supplier. Besides, he also shared strategies of Easybuy.
Following this, the ASW team conducted six – on request – one-on-one meetings between exhibitors and Easybuy.
During the session, Ramesh said that at Easybuy, the focus is now also on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and expects to reach a turnover of Rs. 3,000 crore by 2025.
Additionally, there are plans to increase the store count to 200 and 250 across the country, he added.
The exhibitors were kept interested as Ramesh shared that Easybuy is exploring vendors from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also as its market share has been growing massively.
Completing seven years in India, Easybuy, an affordable family retailer, already has 100 stores across India with an impressive turnover of around Rs. 500 crore.
The event was a big draw and ASW Marketplace is set to come up with more such events in the days to come.
In fact, another session by Jockey India, which concluded last week (11 February), was also a big success. Watch out this space to know what happened in this session.
