Usman Garba Saulawa, Director General, Kaduna Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the closure of ginneries in the Northern part of the country is stifling a few numbers of textile mills. He further stated that this is affecting the textile industry adversely as the players can hardly compete in the international market, while they suffer low financial backing among other challenges. The numbers of companies producing fabrics is also whittling down.
