Investments continue to pour in Ethiopia with Shaoxing Mina Textile’s, a China-based company, has planned to set up a US $ 15 million textile and garment factory in the country. The new textile and garment factory will come up in Sebeta, Oromia and would employ about 5,000 people when fully operational. The factory will export its products to US, EU, Turkey, Thailand and some African countries. Wei Chang Jun, CEO of Mina Textile said that his company would soon complete the ongoing expansion of a dyeing and printing factory on five hectares of land, as 95 per cent of the necessary equipment has already been imported from South Korea and Italy.
