The US-based apparel and footwear firm VF Corporation has seen its revenue increase by 5 per cent in Q3.
Keeping aside the occupational work business, for which the firm is devising alternate strategies, the quaterly revenue also rose by 6 per cent.
The activewear segment too increased by 8 per cent, majorly owing to 12 per cent rise in VF’s renowned brand Vans that saw an impressive jump of 12 per cent.
And it was not just about activewear! The outdoor section also saw an increase of 3 per cent – a lot of which could be credited to the performance of The North Face brand (8 per cent jump).
On the global front too, VF Corporation had a decent third quarter, with the revenues rising by 8 per cent and here one needs to mention China that posted an extraordinary growth of 30 per cent.
Also, the direct-to-consumer sales, during the period, rose by 7 per cent, led by a 16 per cent surge in firm’s digital channel.
