Bracken Darrell has been named president and CEO of VF Corporation, a well-known portfolio of lifestyle brands, by the board of directors, effective 17th July, 2023. Darrell will join VF From Logitech International S.A., where he has been President and CEO since 2013.
Benno Dorer, who has been VF’s Interim President and CEO since December 5, 2022, and a member of the board since 2017, will continue to serve on the board in connection with Darrell’s nomination. Richard Carucci, a board member of VF since 2009 who served as interim chair during the organization’s most recent phase of leadership turnover, has been named chair of the board.
“VF’s Board of Directors couldn’t be more pleased with our appointment of Bracken as VF’s 12th CEO in the company’s 124-year history,” said Carucci.
In responsibilities involving brand management, product innovation, and business leadership with Fortune 500 businesses, Darrell has demonstrated experience. He will lead VF after serving as President and CEO of Logitech International for a remarkable ten years. During that time, he is credited with turning around Logitech’s business by expanding into new categories, increasing market share, introducing new and innovative products, and elevating design as a pillar of the company’s strategy. More than 20 new product categories were added by Logitech, revenue more than doubled, and the company’s market valuation increased tenfold while under Darrell’s direction.
Prior to joining Logitech, Darrell held positions of increasing responsibility in international leadership at General Electric, Whirlpool Corporation, and Procter & Gamble. He served as President of Braun globally for Procter & Gamble. After graduating from business school, Darrell took brand management positions at Procter & Gamble early in his career. He is recognised for having led the turnaround of the Old Spice brand.
“It’s an honour and privilege to have the opportunity to serve as President and CEO of VF,” said Darrell.
Commenting on Dorer’s service as VF’s Interim President and CEO, Carucci added, “I know I speak on behalf of VF’s Board of Directors and global workforce when I extend my deepest gratitude to Benno for serving as Interim President and CEO.”
