Bringing a touch of nostalgia to its product mix, US fashion retailer JCPenney has joined hands with Authentic Brands Group (ABG) to unveil Juicy By Juicy Couture.
The new brand, which sells exclusively at 501 JCPenney stores as well as on website, will initially comprise include the best of womenswear. However, soon babywear, sleepwear, fashion accessories, footwear and home products, amongst others, are expected to be added to the offering.
ABG has, reportedly, stated that Juicy By Juicy Couture adheres to the DNA and spirit of Juicy Couture and will feature an updated spin on the brand’s signature tracksuit that was launched 20 years back.
Here one needs to mention that Juicy Couture was launched in 1997 and was later bought by ABG in 2013 for US $ 195 million.
Notably, leggings, joggers, cropped sweatshirts and hoodies are part of this new line. Importantly, prints, colorways and the fabrications are its biggest attractions.
JCPenney’s Executive VP and Chief Merchandising Officer, Michelle Wlazlo, has said that Juicy By Juicy Couture represents ‘a new, glamorous lifestyle brand to shop’ and highlights the diverse style offered at JCPenney’s.
Relevant to both younger and older audiences, Juicy By Juicy Couture today combines distinctive design elements and styling that pay homage to the brand’s unique ethos.
Presently, there are 32 Juicy Couture stores — 15 in China and 17 in South Korea — as well as an e-commerce site. JCPenney is currently working with ABG on Juicy By Juicy Couture lines through fall 2022.
