
Urban Outfitters, a portfolio of global consumer brands comprised of Anthropologie, Bhldn, Free People, Terrain, Urban Outfitters and Vetri Family brands, has announced net sales for the fourth quarter and year ended January 31, 2017.
During the period under review, total company net sales increased 2 per cent over the same quarter last year to a record US $ 1.03 billion. According to the company release, comparable retail segment net sales, include comparable direct-to-consumer sales, however remained flat. Wholesale segment net sales dropped 1 per cent.
Brand wise, comparable retail segment net sales increased by 2 per cent at Urban Outfitters, and 1.2 per cent at Free People, but decreased 2.9 per cent at Anthropologie.

For the year ended January 31, 2017, total company net sales increased to US $ 3.5 billion or 3 per cent over the prior year. Comparable retail segment net sales also zoomed 1 per cent while wholesale segment net sales soared 11 per cent.
