Come December, e-commerce entities trading on any online platform including Facebook, will have to acquire Unique Business Identification (UBID) to continue operation even as the Commerce Ministry is all set to introduce the same.
Media reports claimed this citing concerned officials in this regard while adding the ministry has already finalised the process of issuing the UBID against trade licenses for e-commerce trading.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, Director General of the Commerce Ministry’s WTO cell, Md. Hafizur Rahman, said, “…We will forward the process for the cabinet’s approval within the next couple of days,” while adding the registration and issuance of UBID is set to begin from December.
