The first-quarter net sales of Stitch Fix, an online personal styling service, was US $ 318.8 million, a 12.6 per cent decline from the previous year. For the second quarter, the business expects adjusted EBITDA to be between US $ 8 million and US $ 13 million, and revenue to be between 290 million and US $ 300 million, down 9 to 12 per cent.
For the entire year, the company anticipates adjusted EBITDA to be between US $ 25 and US $ 36 million and revenues to be between US $ 1.14 billion and US $ 1.18 billion, down 10 to 13 per cent.
The number of active clients starting at 2,434,000, dropped by 74,000, or 3 per cent, from quarter to quarter, and by 555,000, or 18.6 per cent, from year to year. With US $ 531 in net sales per active client, net revenue grew by 4.9 per cent.
With a 180 basis point rise, the gross margin was 45.4 per cent. In contrast to adjusted EBITDA of US $ 13.5 million, net loss was 6.3 million and diluted loss per share was 5 cents.
