
Spykar, Indian apparel brand which is known for its men’s casual wear, especially in denims that contributes approximately 82 per cent in its turnover, is now planning to grab more in womenswear casual segment which accounts for nearly 12 per cent. The new womenswear range will denim centric and include skirts, tops, dresses and shirts.
Sanjay Vakharia, COO, Spykar, underlined “We are looking to increase the share of womenswear to 20-22 per cent of our turnover. It has a huge potential to grow.”
As per Sanjay, the company will look to take up womenswear contribution between 20 and 22 per cent by 2020. Menswear is expected to contribute 72 per cent and the remaining will come from accessories. The company is also willing to double its exclusive brand outlets by 2020.
The brand has noted the turnover of Rs. 242 crore in its last fiscal year of 2016, retailer is now eyeing for Rs. 300 crore as its next target.

Started in 1992, Spykar Lifestyles has a presence across 1,200-odd ‘mom & pop’ stores, apart from organized retail chains. It also has around 200-210 exclusive brand outlets across the country, which it would look to take up to 400 by 2020.
