Netherlands-based sportswear retailer Daka Sport is set to launch its debut concept store at the country’s Alkmaar Noorder Arcade shopping center. The new outlet is spread across 3, 000 square meters and focuses mainly on the customer’s in-shop experience.
The first concept store is in line with Daka Sport’s recently launched omni-channel concept, where it has combined its physical stores and online marketplace to offer its customers all the online collection along with the benefits of the loyalty programme at its physical store.
Jan-Peter Dankaart, GM, Daka Sport, said, “Every store will have its individual focus that is based on the customer’s demands, which differs regionally. Football, active/outdoor and winter sports are key focus areas at the Alkmaar branch.”
The athleisure retailer ended its business collaboration with Intersport, a Swedish sporting goods retailer, last month. After the development, the concept store in Alkmaar is the company’s first step as part of its pan-country roll out plan.
It is being reported that the new store is inspired by the company’s previous experiences it had after the renovation of its branches in Rotterdam Noord and Rotterdam Oost.
Daka Sport offers apparel and accessories for everyone and stocks brands such as Adidas, Beachlife, Vans, Oakley and Yellowstone. The retailer at present runs 14 outlets across the country along with its online marketplace.
