SKIMS, the apparel and lifestyle brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian, has appointed human resources veteran Kim Seymour as Chief People Officer, strengthening its senior leadership as the company continues to scale.
In her new role, Seymour will lead talent operations, organisational design and company culture across SKIMS’s fashion, lifestyle and beauty portfolio. She will report directly to chief executive officer and co-founder Jens Grede.
Seymour brings nearly three decades of experience in human resources and people leadership. Most recently, she founded and led Leadership Amplified, a strategic HR advisory firm that worked with chief executives, senior leadership teams and boards on complex talent and organisational challenges. Prior to that, she served as chief human resources officer at Etsy and has also held senior HR roles at American Express, Home Depot Supply and General Electric.
At SKIMS, Seymour will be responsible for building and scaling the company’s people and talent infrastructure to support its next phase of growth, as the brand expands its product offerings, partnerships and global reach.
Grede said Seymour brings a strong combination of strategic thinking and people leadership, noting her experience in guiding organisations through multiple stages of growth and her ability to strengthen culture while supporting business performance.
Seymour said she was motivated by the business SKIMS has built and highlighted the role of strong, highly specialised talent in driving its success. She added that the company’s next phase of expansion, including broader reach, increased product innovation and deeper collaborations, would require a renewed focus on the people delivering that growth.
The appointment follows a period of heightened brand activity for SKIMS, including the launch of its second collaboration with The North Face last month, featuring an expanded ski-inspired collection, functional accessories and the brand’s first entry into kidswear.
