Richard Price will be the new Managing Director, Clothing and Home, of Marks & Spencer (M&S).
Currently working as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of F&F Clothing, Tesco PLC, Richard will assume his new office in 2020.
Speaking about his appointment, Steve Rowe, CEO, M&S said “Richard’s career spans some of the UK’s top clothing brands and he has a proven track record of delivering growth through stylish, great value product.”
Steve also said “We are building a team of world class talent in Clothing & Home and, with Richard coming on board, I am confident that the speed and scale of the transformation of the business will accelerate.”
Richard Price will certainly have a challenging task ahead, especially considering that half-year profits of M&S fell by nearly 17 per cent in September 2019 – majorly owing to struggling Clothing & Home division.
The exact date of his joining in 2020 is yet to be announced.
