Miu Miu, the sister label of the big luxury market player Prada, is strengthening its Parisian roots by opening a new stores in rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, and Montaigne in the second half of 2018. This is the next step in its French capital’s expansion after basing its headquarters on rue Matignon in Paris four years ago.
The store premises in rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré were housed by Missoni previously and then bought by Prada Retail in 2014, for a whopping amount of €14 million. It took them a long span of four years to finally set up the store keeping in mind the Prada reputation of presenting world-class merchandise in an even better way.
After the opening, the Miu Miu store set up at number 96 on the same high-fashion street had to be closed down and temporarily shifted to Beauvau which too shut down later. The new store is spread in an area of 540-square-metre in a beautiful 19th century Parisian building, and occupies more than three levels, with windows decorated with the Miu Miu merchandise overlooking the street.
Keeping in line with the Parisian fervour, the interiors are done with extreme french intricacy with baroque detailing on the walls complimented by framed mirrors hung over large fireplaces. As the golden damask fabric is exclusively produced in blue for Miu Miu, the brand that flaunts the definition of ever-evolving, the store’s ceiling and floor are done in the blue shade to create a scenic yet monochromatic effect to make the product stand out.
The second store would soon open at 14 avenue Montaigne, beside the Prada store located at no. 12. This is going to be the ninth retail store in Paris along with several uniquely decorated stores like in Cannes, and a season- based store in Saint-Tropez, Monte Carlo, etc. Collectively, Miu Miu operates through 168 monobrand stores across the world.
