Italian luxury house Prada has, reportedly, set its sights on the growing resale market.
Corroborating more on the same, Lorenzo Bertelli, Marketing Director and future CEO of Prada told media that second hand is a strategy that Prada has been considering for over a year now.
Though Lorenzo did not divulge any further details on the same, he said Prada may go for a partnership with a player or in-house or may opt for a hybrid solution like for e-commerce.
The plan to enter the resale market would see Prada join the group of luxury firms tapping the secondhand market, which has been growing rapidly in recent years.
Back in October, Net-A-Porter, another Italian luxury womenswear e-tailer, had unveiled a resale service with Reflaunt. Similarly, Swedish clothing brand Axel Arigato had launched resale platform last month.

Lorenzo is the son of current CEO Patrizio Bertelli, who had said last month that he plans to hand over reins to his son in next 3 years.
Founded in 1913, Prada specialises in apparels, shoes, leather handbags and fashion accessories, amongst others.
