High Court in Bangladesh recently allowed Shamima Nasrin and Mohammad Rassel, who are the ex chairperson and CEO of e-commerce platform Evaly, to transfer 50 per cent of their shares to three family members to run the company.
Media reports maintained this adding the company bench of Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar passed the order in this regard allowing three family members– Shamima’s father Rafiqul Alam Talukder, her mother Farida Talukder Lily and her brother-in-law Md. Mamunur Rashid, to receive the 50 per cent share while hearing an application filed by Rafiqul, Farida and Mamunur, while underlining they are interested in taking over the responsibility of the company for its revival.
The court further, reportedly, directed the jail authorities — Shamima Nasrin and Mohammad Rassel are, reportedly, in jail currently — to provide all assistance in completing the process for transferring the shares.
