In a recent collaboration, OVO has joined hands with the footwear brand Clarks to bring a pop of colour into the classic Wallabee line.
The desert boots will now be available in neon green and bright orange in addition to the original black along with beige soles on the bottom for all styles. The defining feature that sets these apart from the original Wallabee is the engraved OVO owl and matching Clarks tags.
OVO, short for October’s Very Own, is owned by the international hip-hop superstar Drake. OVO Clothing was launched in 2011, and gets its name from OVO Sound, the Canadian record label started by Drake.
Ever since, the brand has ventured into a series of collaborations including ones with streetwear legend Takashi Murakami, Canadian basketball team Raptors, adventure footwear brand Timberland, to name a few.
On the other hand, Clarks is a household name in the global footwear market. Founded in 1825, the UK-based brand’s ideology runs on decades of expertise along with persistent innovation in the footwear category.
After their debut in May 2005, the Indian retail giant Future group now manages the brand for its Indian audience, and has expanded into a spread of around 55 stores across the country.
The collection was launched yesterday (26 February) and is available exclusively at their flagship stores and on OVO’s official website.
