Nike Style! That’s the new store concept launched by Nike in South Korea’s capital city of Seoul.
The American sportswear retailer has, reportedly, described the new store a remixed expression of sports retail culture that blurs the line between physical and digital.
Notably, Nike Style stores comprise gender agnostic lifestyle product zones for certain apparels that include tops, fleece, footwear and accessories.
QR codes throughout the store enable shoppers to open augmented reality experiences tied to art installations and product innovation.
These stores also comprise localised collections.
This is not the first time Nike is coming back to Seoul. Last year, the retailer had opened a Nike Rise concept in the city.
Meanwhile, the retailer has already expressed its intent of opening second Nike Style store in Shanghai later this year. Reportedly, other countries too are in the pipeline.
However, the retailer did not reveal how big the fleet could grow.
Nike, which was founded in 1964, is globally the largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparels, with revenue in excess of US $ 37.4 billion in 2020.
