In a bid to become more advanced when it comes to technology, Levi Strauss & Co. has appointed Vodafone executive Katia Walsh as senior vice president and chief strategy and artificial intelligence officer.
Effective from April 29, Walsh will be responsible for helping the fashion retailer translate data analytics into major decisions for the business. Walsh will report to Levi’s chief executive and president Chip Bergh.

Walsh has worked as chief data and analytics officer at Vodafone, where she was responsible for offering the company a proactive experience as part of its digital transformation. She is also a member of British retailer River Island’s digital advisory board.
Katia Walsh has held strategic data analytics leadership positions at Prudential Financial and Fidelity Investments, where she drove customer-centric innovations.
