British clothing retailers New Look, Superdry and Dorothy Perkins have turned to ebay to sell their dead stock.
The aforementioned clothing labels, along with LK Bennett, have launched their ebay stores to unload their products at significantly discounted prices.
Some of the discounts are even more than 80 per cent.
In fact, an LK Bennett dress, normally sold at £125, is selling at the American e-commerce site for just £17.
Several fashion brands, including the above-mentioned ones, have been struggling with the backlog of many unsold apparels and accessories that piled up during the coronavirus-induced lockdowns.
With several orders for apparels either cancelled or delayed and many consumers holding back their shopping for dresses over the last 8 months, it’s been a challenge for the retailers to clear the leftover stock.
ebay’s outlet store has indeed come as a booster for all the fashion brands who are struggling to their sell their unsold products though there’s also a growing fear of cheap apparels getting consumed more.
