Indian e-retailer Myntra, owned by Flipkart, which is all set to hold its eighth edition of End of Reason Sale (EORS) from June 22-25 is hoping to note 40 per cent growth during the event.
Tier II and III cities are expected to be major contributors for e-retailer. Myntra’s subsidiary Jabong is also expecting a 6 per cent leap in sales during the EORS as compared to normal days.
“We are all set to have our eighth edition of EORS and to handle 63 million sessions to report 40 per cent growth this year as compared to the Seventh edition of EORS last year,” Ananth Narayanan, CEO, Myntra-Jabong was quoted as saying in a statement.
“The company is equipped to handle increased volume of delivery,” added Narayanan.
More than 6 lakh products from over 2500 brands will be put on discounts ranging from 50 to 80 per cent during the sale period. The e-retailer is also hoping to report addition of 5 lakh new customers during EORS.
Nike, Adidas, Puma, Forever 21, Swarovski, Tommy Hilfiger, Jack & Jones, Flying Machine, Marks & Spencer and Mango in addition to Myntra’s private brands, such as Roadster, HRX, All About You, Mast and Harbour will be participating in the event.
During the seventh edition of EORS, smaller cities contributed 60 per cent to Myntra’s sales. The e-retailer sold more than 5 million items to over 1.7 million consumers during the 7th edition of End of Reason Sale.
