Muhammad Syed Ali, the Deputy Secretary of the Commerce Ministry’s central digital unit, has been appointed by the Government as the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh’s administrator.
Following section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022, the commerce ministry released a circular on Wednesday in this regard, which was signed by its additional secretary, Naznin Kawser Chowdhury.
The new administrator would hand over the responsibilities to the newly elected body of the trade organisation by holding a free and fair election within 120 days and thus apprise the development to the ministry, according to the circular.
