Mountain Warehouse has had a bright beginning this New Year!
The British outdoor retailer, reportedly, witnessed a formidable growth of 16.2 per cent in sales during the Christmas season clocking 95.8 million pounds.
And it wasn’t just Christmas! The retailer, known for selling hiking, skiing and running equipment, saw sales of more than 2.5 million pounds on Black Friday.
Ecstatic over the impressive sales during the festive season, Mark Neale, Chief Executive, Mountain Warehouse, averred “I am delighted to be reporting record Christmas trading for the 22nd year running, despite the snap election and some economic uncertainties around Brexit.”
Mark also added “This puts us well on course for another record year and, as a result, we are continuing to invest in more stores, new territories and our online business.”
Mountain Warehouse, notably, served more than 3 million clients during the 13 weeks leading to 29 December – the bestsellers being over 500,000 pairs of socks, over a million winter jackets and nearly another million gloves, winter hats and scarves.
