Mango, the Spanish fashion conglomerate, is re-establishing itself in the UK, with its foray into Northern Ireland being crucial.
This year, over 20 new stores will open, bringing the total number of outlets to 60. Additionally, those additional stores will be located in Scotland, Northern Ireland, central and southern England, and London.
While Scotland and London are ripe for growth, it will make its debut in a number of unidentified cities among the other English areas in addition to making its first appearance in Northern Ireland.
“The UK is one of the priority markets for Mango’s international growth,” noted Daniel López, Director of Expansion and Franchising, in announcing its expansion plans.
“The increased presence in London and our arrival this year in some cities where we have not been present until now will consolidate the Mango brand and help us to strengthen it internationally,” he added.
The new design, which reflects Mango’s Mediterranean heritage and features “warm tones and neutral colours predominate, combined with traditional, handcrafted, sustainable and natural materials such as ceramics, tuff, wood, marble, esparto grass and leather,” also stated that sustainability and architectural integration will continue to be key components.
Mango’s continued goal to increase brand awareness in the UK is shown in this most recent physical push. Its most recent significant growth occurred last year when it opened over ten locations, including ones in Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, and London.
A significant one of those was the store’s opening at Westfield Stratford City, London. It also made its debut in Brighton, with a 470 square metre store in the Churchill Square mall.
Mango expanded its footprint in Scotland in 2022 when it opened a store in Glasgow Fort, the primary retail and entertainment district of the city. It also made its debut at London’s Battersea Power Station and Kent’s Bluewater shopping area.
