After H&M announced its decision to manufacture personal protective gear, now LVMH has decided to make surgical masks, which are running into huge shortage amidst the Coronavirus outbreak.

It was only recently the French fashion label had converted their cosmetics and perfume units into manufacturing units producing sanitising gels. The brand has been delivering these sanitising gels free of cost to all hospitals and health sector.
The surgical masks are currently in huge demand across the globe, more so in France and therefore LVMH will focus on producing these masks.
The brand, reportedly, said that it has ordered as many as 10 million surgical masks for France – an order that will get repeated minimum for 4 weeks.
LVMH also made clear that the first set of surgical masks will be dispatched to health authorities of France starting next week.
The French fashion brand, which owns biggies like Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, said in a statement that it intends to handle countrywide scarcity of anti-viral products in France.
