Lacoste has linked for the first time with cultural, media and lifestyle brand Highsnobiety on a ‘super limited’ L003 2K24 co-branded sneaker and apparel collection. Further such launches are also planned.
According to the firms, this first release combines “the finest elements of fashion and tennis for an enhanced recipe of sartorial excellence.”
The pieces made their Highsnobiety premiere two days prior, and will be sold on the French label’s website as well as at other stores on 2nd February. The trainer, which costs €220, is described as combining tennis sophistication, the je ne sais quoi of French fashion, and left-field luxury.
Highsnobiety has “added its new luxury and youth cultural nuances for an elevated take on the everyday sports silhouette,” drawing inspiration from Lacoste’s tennis heritage. The L003 2K24 is a progression of the L003 Neo, but its foundation is sport instead of fashion.
The clothing line carries on the ‘Shades of Tennis’ motif with a modern spin on the polo top in addition to a T-shirt, sweatshirt, cap, socks and jogging bottoms bearing the co-brands. Every one of them has a “slightly oversized shape.”
“Marks the introduction of the L003 2K24 to the world, which will see general release in the coming months,” the collection’s announcement announces.
